Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim has expressed indisposition against the state government’s move to quash 13 cases against Sri Rama Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik.
It is learnt that he has written a letter against the proposal to the Additional General Secretary of Home Ministry SK Patnaik.
According to reliable sources, an informal meet was held in the cabinet last week to withdraw as many as 13 cases against Muthalik including the infamous 2009 pub attack case. The DC is said to have written that the decision of the government is going to have a great impact on the law and order in the district.
Ibrahim is also said to have mentioned that Muthalik and his team has a major role to play in the most of the untoward communal incidents that have taken place in the district.
