Mangalore : The nation is facing economic adversity, inflation, unemployment, agricultural crisis and other issues, rampant corruption. Meanwhile, in order to create general awareness on these burning issues that the nation is facing, CPI will stage nationwide campaign and Satyagraha in September 2013, said CPI national secretary Amarjit Kaur.
Addressing the media persons during the press meet held here on Tuesday May 14, Kaur said that the gap between the incomes of working class and bureaucrats are increasing, people are frustrated because of recurring scams in the country. The government has been mercilessly stemming the struggle to protect the bureaucrats. The union government has been trying to privatize education, healthcare services and other basic infrastructure through liberalization policies, said Kaur.
The governments are advocating that nation will gain out of privatization of basic infrastructure. Instead of foreign direct investments, the government strengthen the recovery of taxes, levy additional taxes on bureaucrats, rich and corporate entities, to restrict black money and take measures to siphoning of such money to tax heavens overseas, CPI will embark on nationwide struggle in this regard.
