Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V has stated that the administration plans to set up check posts at three main entry points in the district connecting Kerala where rapid antigen tests are proposed to be performed.

This is carried out in accordance with the state health department’s instructions to ensure that people visiting the state from Kerala on a daily basis need to compulsorily be in possession of coronavirus negative test certificates (RT-PCR).

He also stated that it is compulsory that people coming to hostels, resorts, hostels, home stay and other such places in the state possess RT-PCR test negative certificates which should be shown at the check posts.

The tests should be not more than 72 hours old. The samples of positive cases will be tested at the laboratory at NIMHANS Bengaluru, he said.
