Mangaluru: The Kavoor police have booked a case against a person who in his audio clip, is heard demanding “encounter” of former union minister B Janardhana Poojary for his statement in favour of constructing Ram Mandir in Ayodhya recently.

The accused has been identified as Hakeem, a resident of Puttur. It is said that Hakeem was upset over the statement of Janardhana Poojary due to which he uploaded an audio clipping demanding Poojary’s “encounter.”

A few days ago, Janardhana Poojary had stated that Ram Mandir should be constructed in Ayodhya and one should not oppose the same. On the following day, the audio clip by the accused went viral on social media. The person in the clipping also opined that Poojary was born to RSS and Muslims should not support Congress party until Poojary is suspended from the party.

Many condemned the acts and demanded the arrest of the accused. Former MLA J R Lobo also has filed a police complaint against the voice message and sought a detailed probe. Nearly after a week, Kavoor police traced the person who allegedly uploaded a voice message and booked a case against him.
