Mangaluru: The Karnataka State Government Employees Association President H K Ramu has urged the state government to continue the old pension scheme instead of the new one, on Saturday, November 17.
Speaking to media persons in city, Ramu said, “The government should immediately fulfill the demands of the state government employees before Belagavi session. If not, we will hold an intense protest”, he said.
He informed that the association had already communicated with the Chief Minister of Karnataka to continue the old system of the pension scheme and he has promised to fulfill our demand. We hope that it would be done soon”, he added.
Ramu has asked the government to furnish details about the pension amount of Rs 12,000 Crore which was accumulated in the last 12 years. “Government should inform us on what such a huge amount is spent”, he insisted.
