Mangaluru: In order to create awareness and shed light upon the failures of the union government, Congress has planned to launch a nationwide mass-contact and fund collection drive from October 2 to November 19.

Speaking to the reporters at district Congress office on Saturday Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) General Secretary P V Mohan said that a 10 member team will be formed under the title of “Sahayogi”, who will reach to the people in Dakshina Kannada district. Meanwhile, the team `Sahayogi` will collect fund from the public, he said.

Coming down heavily on RSS leaders Mohan said, “The recent statement of RSS leaders that there is no Hindutva if there is no Muslims shows that BJP is now intended to secure the votes of Muslims. There will be peace in the country only if the RSS gets banned.”

He also expressed his displeasure over the issue of merging Vijaya Bank with other banks. “The Congress has already revealed its displeasure against the decision of merging banks. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel should also express his opinion on the same issue”, he stressed.

Congress leaders Neeraj Pal, Abdul Saleem, Honnaiah, Sumith, Surendra Kambali, Nazeer Bajal among others were present.
