Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha on Monday, April 20, posted an emotional video of a COViD-19 survivor wherein he thanks the police officers, nurses and paramedics for treating him well at the Wenlock Hospital.

The caption posted by Dr P S Harsha reads, “Just reproducing the experiences of a cured COVID19 patient.. please listento the first hand account about the care entire team of police officers, doctors, nurses and paramedics have given to bring any victim out of it.. Joinhands with government.[sic]”

The video is that of the 43-year-old COVID-19 survivor from Thokkottu who received a standing ovation when he arrived back at his apartment after making a full recovery. In the video, he thanked the medical fraternity and police department for taking care of him at the hospital. “The doctors and police department have worked hard to save my life from this disease and I will always be grateful to them,” he says with tears in his eyes.

A video such as this has gained a lot of importance especially after the violence in Padarayanapura and the series of attacks on ASHA workers and other health workers in the country. In the video, the emotional man speaks about how the doctors and the police department are working day and night to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and save the people.

The compol’s tweet has received a good reponse and was even retweeted by the Karnataka DGP. The video has been viewed ove 3000 times in just a matter of hours.
