Bantwal: A fire broke out in ‘Vishwakarma Seva Sahakari’ bank branch in Melkar here on Sunday, July 15.
An electric short circuit is suspected to have led to the fire and fire service personnel who rushed to spot doused the fire.
Though few papers in the bank gutted, the bank authorities have confirmed that no losses have occurred. The bank is covered under insurance and the bank will be opened tomorrow morning as usual, Saif sources adding that the customers of the bank need not panic.
