Mangaluru: The students and alumni of St. Aloysius PU College will hold a two-day charity promotional event “CAUSE-2018” to help the poor and needy on July 21 and 22 at the City Centre Mall here.
Addressing a press meet, Suhan Alva, Founder of “Cause”, said that on July 21, the students would install the stalls at the City Centre Mall. The revenue earned by selling the products will be donated to the poor and needy. On July 22, Cause has organised a dance and traffic awareness programmes under “Mega-Charity” in City Centre Mall at 4 PM.
“Kannada film stars Diganth Manchale and Pooja Devariya, Principal of St. Aloysius Pre-University College, Mangaluru, Fr. Melwin Mendonca SJ, President of Youth Congress Mithun Rai, President of Youth JDS Akshith Suvarna, and Captain Brijesh Chowta will take part in this programme,” he said.
Alva also said, “This year the ‘Cause’ team will distribute scholarships to 25 poor students. The money collected from the event will be given to Paschim Rehabilitation Old-Age Home and De-Mercede Orphanage.”
