Mangaluru: Three youths were arrested for selling ganja to college students and general public by the city crime branch police here on Thursday, August 3.
According to police the accused were selling the ganja from their motor bike in front of Bharath Beedi complex , Kadri Kambla under the Kadri police station limits. With authentic information CCB police were successful in nabbing the culprits.
The arrested have been identified as Loy Veigas (24), a resident of Konchadi Derebail, Almed Karkada (24), a resident of Falnir and Pradeep Prabhu (27), a resident of Kadri Kambala Road.
Police also seized Ganja weighing 1.2 kg, a motor bike and three mobile phones valuing around Rs 68,500. It is learnt that the accused purchased the ganja from Shikaripura to sell it in the city.
As per the direction of City Police Commissioner T R Suresh, with initiative of DCP of law and order K M Shantharaju, crime and traffic division DCP Hanumantaraya and ACP CCRB Valentine D’ Souza, CCB inspector Sunil Y Naik, Shyamunder along with others nabbed the accused.
