Mangaluru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) police busted a prostitution racket being carried out from a rental apartment at Kottara Chowki here and arrested two persons, including a woman on Thursday, July 12.
Sajith Shekar (30), a Padubidri resident is one of the arrested persons while the identity of the woman has not been revealed yet. Reportedly, Sajith had rented the place and the woman used to help him carry the prostitution racket.
The police also rescued two minors who were forced into the flesh trade during the operation and seized Rs 15,240 in cash and five mobile phones from the accused’s possession. The arrested have been handed over to Kavoor police station.
