Mangaluru: A case has been registered against self proclaimed social activist Robert Rosario with the Kadri Police station (FIR No. 0168/2018) on May 12 for spreading distorted facts to confuse voters.

The complainant, Deepak D’Souza from Attavara, has said that the accused was circulating a video alledging that the infamous Church attack was orchastrated by the Church authorities and the Congress.

In the video, Rosario claims that it is only the Congress that reaped political benefits after the Church attack and not the saffron brigade.

In 2008, right wing activists had targeted several Churches and prayer halls in the coastal district of Dakshina Kannada without clearing or citing the reason behind the same. The infamous incident had hogged international headlines, denting the image of the district which was known for communal harmony and peaceful co-existence.
