Mangalore : Thieves who broke into a tiles and sanitaryware showroom at Falnir in Mangalore on the night of July 18, Thursday have stolen several boxes of expensive Jaquar Wall Mixer 3-in-1, apart from a cash of nearly 50,000.
The theft occurred at PC Mallappa &Co located near Highland Hospital. The Jaquar Wall Mixer unit costed Rs 3000 and several boxes have been reported stolen. The thieves gained entry into the shop by breaking open the shutter lock from the rear. Though the showroom had over 15 CC cameras inside and at exit points, the manager of the firm said they had put off the main switch to which the CC Camera was connected before closing the showroom the previous night.
The Police said the CCTV footage had clippings upto 8 pm. The cartons have been left behind by the thieves who escaped from the first floor.
Investigations are underway.
