Bantwal: Within one week of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s oath-taking ceremony, the Karnataka coalition government will cease to exist and a new government, under the leadership of BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa will be formed, said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

He was addressing the party workers on the occasion of the BJP’s celebration after his hat-trick victory in the Lok Sabha polls. The event was held at the BJP’s BC Road office on Friday, May 24 night.

“When BSY was the Chief Minister, huge central grants came to the state. When the same government exists at the Centre and the State, it will be easy to bring grants and implement development projects in the state,” he said.

Speaking about the BJP’s thumping victory in the country, Nalin said that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the people declared that there is no room for dynasty politics in the country. “This was clearly visible in the stupendous win of the BJP candidates,” he added.

“The Dakshina Kannada district has seven BJP MLAs and the state has 25 BJP MPs which shows that Karnataka has almost cleared the Congress from its political map,” he said, taking a jibe at the Congress’ poor performance.

On the occasion, MLA U Rajesh Naik felicitated MP Nalin Kumar Kateel for his victory and said that votes for the BJP have increased in the Bantwal taluk by 32,000, proving that now the Bantwal Taluk has become a BJP bastion.

Several leaders and supporters of the BJP were also present.
