Mangaluru: Following an intelligence report about a possible bomb attack on India by Pakistan, high alert has been declared in all cities including Mangaluru on Friday, August 16.
Preventive measures have been taken in key points of the city and security has been beefed up at the Mangaluru International Airport ( MIA) and railway station among other important locations.
Sniffer dogs and bomb detection squads have also been pressed into service at Infosys and Soorya Infotech in Mudipu.
Meanwhile, fishermen have been asked to inform the police control room (100) if they notice any suspicious activities along the coast, especially if they spot suspicious boat movements at sea.
