Mangaluru: BJP President Amit Shah who is on a three-day tour to Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada, on February 20 visited the house of late Deepak Rao, a victim of communal fight.
It may be recalled that the 32-year old youth Deepak Rao, a right-wing activist from Katipalla in Surathkal was brutally hacked to death by assailants at Samshuddin Circle in Katipalla on January 3.
Shah met the bereaved family members of Deepak Rao. Karnataka BJP President B S Yeddyurappa, MP Nalin Kumar and other party leaders accompanied him.
Earlier Amit Shah attended the first Navashakthi Samavesha held at Kulkunda, Subramanya. Selected nine party workers from every booth attended the convention. Shah also visited Kukke Subramanya Temple and offered prayers.
