Belthangady: A man died on the spot while two others were injured after a lorry collided against the bike, on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Uday Kumar Samithaya, a resident of Venur Karimaneu was on his way to drop his daughter and neighbour to college.
The accident occured when the speeding lorry ferrying chicken rammed into the bike after hitting a parked KSRP vehicle at Venur near Moodbidri here before overturning on the road here.
The injured have been shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. The whole incident has been captured on a CCTV camera nearby. The lorry driver has been detained and a case has been registered.
