BA Mohideen’s last rites held with full state honours

Mangaluru: The last rites of former higher education minister BA Mohideen was held at Bajpe Eidgah Juma masjid on Tuesday, July 10 with full state honours.

The 81-year-old politician passed away on Tuesday morning at Bengaluru’s MS Ramaiah hospital due to age-related illness. After allowing people to pay homage to the deceased politician at his Bengaluru residence for a brief period on Tuesday morning, his mortal remains was brought to the city in a special ambulance at around 5pm.

Thousands of people including political leaders – Assembly speaker Ramesh Kumar, Urban Development Minister UT Khader, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLC Ivan D’souza, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Sentil, relatives and locals visited Bajpe to pay their last respect. Former chief minister Siddaramaiah and chief minister HD Kumaraswamy paid their homages to the politician at his Bengaluru residence.
