Mangaluru: The Anti Rowdy Squad arrested three persons for peddling ganja near Kodical Cross and seized 7.100 kg ganja, three mobile phones and two motorcycles from their possession on Friday, November 9.
The arrested have been identified as Lakshmana Sunadoli (50), Gangappa Padeppa Madera (39) and Siddarayappa Koori. Police sources said that the accused were arrested when they were trying to transport ganja to Kasargod district. Based on a tip-off on Friday morning, a team of police headed by City Central Subdivision ACP Bhaskar V and Anti Rowdy Squad Inspector Raveesh Nayak along with their staff succeeded in nabbing the accused. They also recovered 7.100 kg ganja, three mobile phones and two motorcycles estimated at Rs 3.13 Lakh from their possession.
The accused would be produced before the court, police sources said.
