Moodbidri: A girl student from Bengaluru, aged around 18, committed suicide at her hostel room in Moodbidri on Wednesday, September 12.
The deceased has been identified as Vinutha, a second year PUC student of Alva’s College, Moodbidri. According to the sources, she was a very talented girl and had secured 95% marks in her first year PUC examination. It is said that she was disappointed after NEET examination as she did not secure good marks. She was found hanging in her hostel room on Wednesday morning. However, the exact reason for her extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
Moodbidri Police registered a case in this regard and investigating. It may be recalled that during January this another student Rachana had committed suicide in the hostel of the same institute.
