Mangaluru: Recently several bureaucrats have been trying luck in politics. After Anupama Shenoy, another police officer from Mangaluru will be switching to politics in the upcoming assembly elections.
According to reports, Madan Kumar, serving as PSI at Bajpe station has submitted his resignation to Mangaluru police commissioner to try his luck in politics. After serving as PSI for the last 5 years, Madan Kumar will contest from Mangaluru South constituency.

He expects a ticket from the BJP, failing which, he will contest as an independent candidate. He is of the opinion that the electorate who are fed up with rampant corruption and radicalists disturbing peace in the society, are looking for a change. He also expects educated youth to jump into politics to change the existing system.
