Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat, Great Indian Cultural Extravaganza held in Bantwal

Bantwal : Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat, great cultural extravanganza of Indian culture was showcased at Panchadurgaparameshwari temple, Kakkyabeedu, here on Saturday August 17 night.  It was organized by Virasat unit of Kakkepadav, here  in association with Kannada and culture department.


Madantyar – Sacred Heart parish priest Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas offered motion for the programme and commended the efforts of Dr Mohan Alvas in creating general awareness on Indian cultural hierarchy among the new generation, said Fr Lawrence.

Alvas Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva in his introductory address said that Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat will be held from December 19 to December 21, with the objective of popularizing Indian cultural hierarchy across the world.

Kakyabeedu Devi temple renovation Committee founder president K Jarappa Shetty presided the programme.

The retired headmaster S Narayan Holla, Kakyabeedu temple celebrant Srinivas Armudattaya, Kakkepadav Badriya Jumma masjid mudaris Abdul Kamil Sakhafi, retired teacher P Babu, TP steering Committee president M Sampatkumar Shetty, Sri Kshetra dharmasthala Rural Development Project – Vogga animator Vasant Salian, entrepreneurs P Rohinat Pade and Ravi Kakkepadav, Kakyabeedu High School headmaster Jagannat Shetty, Uli Yuvaka Mandala president Sadanand Gowda, retired headmaster A Muttappa Gowda were the chief guests of the occasion. 

Dr M Mohan Alvas was felicitated during the programme.

Kakkepadav unit honorary president B Padmashekar Jain, president K Narayan Shetty, secretary K Mayeelappa Salian, treasurer K Veerendra Kumar Jain, Rotary Club – Uppinangady president Dr Rajaram K B, Rotary Club – B C Road president Dr Satyashankar Shetty and others were present on the occasion.

Uli gram panchayat president A Chennappa Salian welcomed the gathering.  Kakkepadav temple renovation Committee president Damodar Nayak proposed vote of thanks.  The lecturer Yogish Kairody compered the programme.

The students of Alvas Education Foundation staged cultural extravaganza of different states of India including a few folk art from Sri Lanka that has enthralled the audiences.
