Mangaluru: The A J Institute of Dental Sciences bagged the prestigious award for “Most Proactive Dental College 2019” in India by GUIDENT, at the 6th dental academy excellence awards 2019. The Institute’s Department of Prosthodontics and Public Health Dentistry were awarded the “Best Departments of The Year 2019” and Dr Vijaya Hegde was honoured with the award of “Best Proactive Dental Academician Of The Year 2019”.
The award was received by Dr. K. Nillan Shetty, Principal of A J Institute of Dental Sciences on behalf of the college, Dr Vidya Shenoy, Professor and Head of the Department of Prosthodontics and Dr. Sharan Shetty, Senate Member, RGUHS, in a grand award ceremony held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The awards were received from Dr the chief guest, R K Bali (member of the Dental Council of India and former president of the DCI) and Dr Mahesh Varma (Vice-chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi) on Sunday, December 29, 2019.
