Mangaluru: An Assistant Commissioner of Police in Mangaluru Commissionerate limits has been tested positive for COVID-19, on Wednesday.
Commissioner of Police Vikas Kumar, who confirmed the same said that the ACP is one of the three policemen who have been tested positive on Wednesday and at least 114 policemen in the commissionerate limits have been asked to remain quarantined.
He said that the contact tracing is going on, adding that two accused pertaining to a certain case were brought to Bajpe police station and both of the accused were tested positive for COVID. Following this, Bajpe police station has been closed down for sanitisation.
