Mangaluru: The Anti-Corruption Bureau Superintendent of Police (SP) Uma Prashanth has asked the journalists to reserve at least half-an-hour in a day to take care of their health issues.
She was addressing the journalists after inaugurating a month long Yoga camp at Patrika Bhavan on Tuesday, May 21. Uma Prashanth said, “As journalists and police need to be work round the clock, they usually neglect their health. Though it is inevitable to concentrate on professional life, it is also very much a need to give prominence to our personal life. Hence, journalists should reserve at least half-an-hour in a day to take care of their health”.
Uma Prashanth lauded the efforts of Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists Association in holding Yoga camp for journalists. “Journalists should utilise this opportunity to relax from their stressful life”, she opined.
Director of ‘Isiri Healthy India Mission’, Darshan Jain, who coordinated with journalists to organise the camp shared how his life took a turn after he entered social service. “Creating awareness among the youth about the ill-effects of drug menace, inspiring them to indulge in Yoga, gives me immense pleasure in my life”, he expressed.
