Mangalore: A condolence prayer was organized by ICYM Mangalore diocese to pray for the souls of 17 soldiers of Indian Navy, who lost their-lives in INS Sindhurakshak submarine tragedy on Aug.14th, 2013 here at Kadri soldiers memorial monument today.
The people present lighted the earthen lamps and silence was observed for a minute praying for the souls of the soldiers.
Commodore Cyril David Pereira , a retired navy serviceman from Bendoor was present at the occasion. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the navy soldiers.
At this occasion the organizers handed over their contribution as little help to the little sisters of poor.
Corporator Naveen Dsouza, former navy officer and co-organizer Alwyn Dsouza, Director of ICYM Mangalore diocese, Fr. Ronald Dsouza and the President of ICYM Mangalore diocese, Sheldon Crasta and members of ICYM were present on the occasion.
