Mangaluru: Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath has predicted that BJP candidate Nalin Kumar Kateel will secure a lead of 25,000 votes from his assembly constituency alone.

Speaking to the reporters at BJP’s election office on Tuesday, April 16, Vedavyas said, “when Assembly election was held last year, I defeated the Congress candidate by 16,700 votes. As public are pleased over the developmental works of Nalin, they would re-elect him. Hence, Mangaluru South constituency alone will give a big lead of 25,000 votes to Nalin this time”.

Informing about the development works of the union government, Vedavyas said, “ after Modi government came to power at the centre, a total of 431 different welfare programmes have been implemented and a total of Rs 3,65,996 crore has been deposited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts under various schemes”.

His work is visible and people will stand by him, ” the MLA said.
