Bantwal: A youth by name Prashanth (25), resident of Ajjibettu of the Bimooda village, committed suicide by hanging here on Thursday, September 12.
The son of Bantwal Municipal Corporation member Vidyavathi and Pramod Kumar, Prashanth, who was working abroad, had recently returned to his hometown.
Although the exact reason for this extreme decision is unclear, it is suspected that the young man was in depression.
The Bantwal Police reached the scene and assessed the situation.
The body was later sent to the Bantwal Government Hospital for postmortem.
