16 samples from DK sent for COVID-19 testing come back negative

Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district, on Friday, April 3, received the results of 16 samples that were sent for COVID-19 testing; all have come back negative.

On Thursday too, the district received the results of 16 samples and all came back negative. Now, the test reports of 43 people are awaited.

A total of 38,518 people have been screened so far and 4,727 people have been placed under home quarantine, as of Friday. A total of 630 people have completed 28 days of home quarantine.

Of the 239 received samples, 9 have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Dakshina Kannada district so far. It is said that the strict measures that have been taken by the district administration like sealing of the border with Kerala, complete lockdown etc. stop the spread of COVID-19 in the district.
