Mandya: A three-month-old baby died allegedly after the nurse dropped the baby down, here at MIMS hospital on Friday.
Sukanya, wife of Siddegowda from Yeladahalli village in Maddor had delivered a baby boy three days ago. It is learnt that the nurse had dropped the child and the doctors did not inform the parents about the same.
It is said that the doctors told that the child has breathing problem and was hence kept in ICU.
Till Friday the baby was kept in the ICU. The parents alleged that the doctors had told them that the baby died after it did not respond to treatment. There were injury marks on baby’s head, hand and legs. Enraged with this, the parents along with relatives kept the infant’s body and protested.
North police have registered a case in this regard.
