Mandya: Janata Dal (S) MLA Ravindra Srikantaiah has asked MP elect Sumalatha Ambareesh to first try and release the water from the Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) dam for the benefit of farmers of the district.
Speaking to the media, here on Sunday, May 26, he has taunted Sumlatha and said, “As she has become the parliamentarian now, our roles and responsibilities in public life has reduced, all thanks to Sumalatha.”
“As we all know that the Ministry of Water Resources is under the control of the Centre and also the fact that she was supported by the Bharatiya Janata Party, let her urge the Central government to release the water from the KRS dam. She is no more an independent candidate. She has a lot of responsibilities on her shoulders. Let the people of the district get justice”, he added.
