K R Pet: A motorcyclist succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital, after he was hit by a speeding car near the tourist guest house in town on January 16.
Kumar (28), a resident of Jayanagar layout near ITI College in the town is the deceased motorcyclist.
A Toyota Innova heading towards K R Pet from Mysuru hit the motorcyclist and immediately sped away from the scene. People nearby attempted to rush an injured Kumar to a nearby hospital but unfortunately the he succumbed midway. Alert passers-by have recorded the registration number of the car, which may help the investigating teams, to book those responsible for the killing.
Kumar, a motor rewinding professional is survived by wife and two sons. His wife Roja has lodged a complaint at the town police station based on which investigations are underway.
