Sumalatha is Naidu, not Vokkaliga woman, says JDS leader
Mandya: Another JDS leader has created a new controversy in Mandya. With the idea of consolidating the Vokkaliga votes in support of the JDS-Congress alliance candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy, incumbent MP L R Shivarame Gowda stated that Sumalatha is not a Vokkaliga woman, but of the Naidu caste.

IT dept raids JDS leaders' residences across Mandya, Hassan, Mysuru

Mandya: A worker for the Congress party has been expelled for supporting independent candidate Sumalatha, who is the wife of the late 'Rebel Star' Ambaressh, in the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency. By doing this, the party wants to drive home the message to its workers, that the Congress will only support the alliance candidate, Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
