Mandya: The bureaucrats have become mere puppets in the hands of the politicians, but here in an incident that took place on Thursday, it is evident that the civil servants have been reduced to being mere doormats by the politicians.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who was in Mandya to take part in an event was raged by the fact that the BJP workers protested against him by showing black flag.
The CM was reportedly insulted when the angry protesters stopped his car while he was plying from the temporary helipad at Malavalli to the event venue.
Instantly, on being perched on the stage, the CM summoned SP Sudhir Kumar Reddy and took him to task, holding him responsible for the security lapse.
“Who has made you an IPS? Get Out,” are the words spoken by the CM, said the sources present at the venue.
It is said that the SP remained silent when the CM insulted him publicly.
Six BJP members have been arrested for staging this protest.
