Mandya: A prison employee was found dead here on Saturday. The family members have alleged that he was killed and hung from the tree.
The body of M.C. Marilingaiah, barber at the Mandya district prison was found hanging from a tree.
Sources said that he was depressed from last few days.
Mandya Rural Station police who rushed to the spot after some locals informed about the body, suspect it to be a case of suicide.
Arasaiah, a relative of the deceased, of Madala village, has filed a complaint against prison superintendent Satish and some others under certain sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The complainant has also named prison staff Made Gowda, Nagaraju, and Bhadre Gowda in the complaint. No arrests have been made so far.
