Mandya: The incident of miscreants vandalising few graves at the CSI church cemetery in Chamundeshwari Nagar here has come to light on Sunday morning.
The vandals who jumped over the locked gate of the cemetery, broke and uprooted several grave markers.
Upon being informed about the act of vandalism, the police visited the cemetery and launched a preliminary investigation.
It is said that few empty liquor bottles were found near the damaged graves.
Meanwhile, the community leaders strongly condemned the vandalism and demanded stern action against those responsible.
They also requested the police to intensify night patrolling in the area.
