Mandya: District In-Charge Minister C S Puttaraju has said that in the coming days, a statue of Ambareesh will be installed in the district.
Addressing the media, here on Wednesday, November 28, he said, “Ambareesh has not only worked for the betterment of Sandalwood but also for the development of the district. This is the reason that his fans will always remember him.”
“Ambareesh who was ‘anna’ (brother) for everyone, will have a statue installed in his memory”, he added.
Fans install Ambareesh’s idol
The speciality is that to have Ambareesh always remembered, his fans from D Hosur village of Maddur Taluk have installed a medium sized statue.
Ambareesh fans namely Mohan Kumar, Kumar, Mahadeva, Channappa, Chinna Heggade, Shankregowda, Appaji, Sannaiah and several other villagers have come together and contributed around Rs 1 Lakh towards the statue.
