Mandya: As part of the ongoing efforts to convince Congres leaders in the Mandya district to extend their support to Nikhil Kumaraswamy, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Siddaramaiah called a meeting of the senior party leaders here. The meeting will be held on Sunday, April 7 noon.
According to sources in the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), this meeting has been brokered by minister for civil supplies B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan, who is considered to be Siddaramaiah right hand man. “Senior party leaders including KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao, Congress leaders from Mandya including Cheluvaraya Swamy, Narendra Swamy, Ramesh Bandisiddegowda and others will attend the meeting,” said sources.
Sources also say that Khan has come up with a concrete proposal to make the Mandya Congress leaders support Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
