Mandya: “The Congress-Janata Dal (S) coalition candidate for Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency, Madhu Bangarappa is a dummy candidate. He is being used as a bait to attract votes. In a way, Madhu is like a sheep which is being fed only to be offered,” ridiculed Kumar Bangarappa.
Speaking at a press meet in Mandya, Kumar Bangarappa said, “My sister Geeta Shivarajkumar was forced to contest in the 2014 general election and my brother was forced to contest in the 2018 state assembly election. Now Madhu is contesting LS election and actor Shivarajkumar visits Shivamogga saying that he has come to promote his film ‘Kavacha’. But the fact is he was here to campaign for Madhu. At this juncture, I am not sure who is misusing whom but it will be revealed during the election”.
“I do not like relationships losing its value because of politics. I wish all my family members and relatives to come together to celebrate festivals like ‘Deepavali’ and ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’. Politics should not lead to hatred. Let politics contribute to development and harmony,” said Kumar Bangarappa.
“Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Dr. Siddaramaiah had gained 2.44 lakh votes in the state assembly election. But the situation is not the same in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. In order to ensure that none of the BJP votes goes waste, the party will be supporting independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh in Mandya constituency,” he said.
“Sumalatha will surely win. The BJP will win with a majority and once again form the government in the Centre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will resume office,” Kumar Bangarappa said.
