Mandya: A log laden tractor toppled killing two wayfarers and injuring other in an accident in Nelamakanahalli village limits of Malavalli taluk on December 17.
Dasegowda (45) and Sarojamma (30) died in the mishap while Gowramma (30) sustained injuries in the unfortunate incident.
When the labourers were returning from work from the nearby sugarcane fields en route Nelamakanahalli, the wooden log laden tractor driver lost control over the vehicle. The logs rolled off the vehicle killing Dasegowda on the spot, while Sarojamma succumbed to injuries in the hospital. Another labourer Gowramma injured in the accident is reportedly out of danger.
Malavalli Rural Police have registered a case and are investigating further.
