Mandya: “If independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh wants security, let her talk to PM Modi and also to US President Trump for American commando cover,” ridiculed Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy at Borapura Helipad in Maddur on Saturday, April 13.
In response to PM Modi’s statement that Kumaraswamy had insulted the Indian Army, the CM said, “I stand by what I said. What I spoke is true. I made that statement keeping martyred soldier Guru in mind.”
Asking “do rich people join the Army?”, HDK said, “I asked Modi not to play with the lives of the poor people. What is wrong in what I said? It is me who has offered a job to Guru’s wife, not Modi. I am with the poor, not with the ones using golden spoon.”
“I am touring K M Doddi today so that the people there should not be disappointed that I did not meet them. I will campaign in Pandavapura and K R Pet on Monday, April 15 and I will be in Mandya on Tuesday, April 16,” said Kumaraswamy.
