Mandya: “The Congress and Janata Dal (S) coalition candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s nomination will definitely get disqualified”, said social activist T J Abraham, here on Monday, April 15.
Addressing a press meet he said, “First of all it is against the law to accept his nominations, which had several errors. To find out errors, there is no requirement of experts but a common man too can notice them.”
“It is very sad to know that such experienced IAS officers themselves are not in a position to identify the errors”, he added.
Abraham said, “Nikhil, who had submitted his nomination on March 25, was given sufficient time to file an affidavit to the Returning Officer. But the fresh affidavit submitted on March 27, is dated March 21. The rectified affidavit highlights all the errors in it.”
“I will continue the legal battle against Nikhil’s nomination and I am confident that it will be disqualified by the Election Commission. That is the reason I am requesting you to not vote for him and waste your valuable mandate”, he added.
He taunted the coalition and its supporters stating, “Even if Nikhil loses Lok Sabha elections, do not stop supporting him. Continue your support, as in a matter of six months there is going to be Rajya Sabha election.”
“But the JDS will not elect him, as the Rajya Sabha seats are kept for sale. It is reserved for D Kupendra Reddy from JDS”, he added.
He criticised JDS Supremo H D Deve Gowda and said, “To push Nikhil towards victory, JDS is ready to spend Rs 150 Crore and for that HDD’s family is ready to allocate Rs 5 Lakh to every polling booth. The audio tape in this regard has already gone viral.”
