Mandya: “I won't take the exit poll surveys seriously, as each of them has its own result. For me, the actual results on May 23 are important," said independent candidate from the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency, Sumalatha Ambareesh, here on Sunday, April 28.
She was speaking to the media after attending a fan’s wedding at the Kanaka Bhavan.
“I don’t believe any exit poll survey and I do not even think about them. All eyes are on May 23. I’m confident of emerging victorious, so I won't indulge in any survey.”
Commenting on her meeting with former MLA Cheluvaraya Swamy, Sumalatha said, “Let us not assume things because he met me. It was a casual meeting and it was apolitical. He only advised me to take good rest as the elections and campaigning are over.”
On Sandalwood actor Darshan's statement that proper support price should be assigned instead of giving loan waivers, she said, “He is right to have said that and I stand by his statement. We should appreciate him. It doesn't matter which government is in power. It would be wise to follow his advice.”
She then suggested that it would be better to talk about non-political things as the elections are over.
