Mandya: A youth climbed the mobile tower infront of the Kikkeri police station in Mandya alleging that the Hassan district hospital authorities are not handing him over the body of his deceased brother. He got down from the tower after an assurance from the police that justice will be ensured in the case.

According to the police, BT Ravi, a resident of Bedadalli village under the Kikkeri police limits had married a girl from another caste two months ago. Two days ago he had consumed poison. He was rushed to the Channarayapatna government hospital and later to HIMS, Hassan where he died on Monday morning.

Alleging that hospital authorities are not handing over Ravi’s brother, his brother Ramesh climbed the mobile tower infront of the Kikkeri station. He warned of jumping from the tower if no justice is delivered. Later, he got down after an assurance from the police that an investigation will be carried out on the suicide.
