Maddur: With a hike in fuel prices, the public transport system too is in for a fare revision.
State Transport minister D C Thammanna has confirmed that 0tge fares of government buses will be hiked by next week.
Speaking to the reporters on September 9, in Madanayakanahalli, Thammanna said that a proposal regarding 18 per cent hike is being submitted, which will be discussed with officers concerned and a suitable decision will be taken
“As there is a hike in diesel prices, there is no option but to raise the bus fares”, he said.
