Mandya: Launching a scathing attack on former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy for his recent allegation that his coaliton government was toppled by the BJP using the drug money, Minister for Agriculture BC Patil said that HDK is like a ‘chameleon’.
Speaking to reporters in Madduru, on Tuesday, Patil said that the ruling party has no need to reply to the vague and baseless allegations made by the opposition.
“There is no doubt about it. The culprits, no matter who it is must be brought to book. The government will initiate action against every culprrit involved in the drug scandal,” said Patil.
However, attacking the former CM HDK, Patil said that the drug mafia has been functioning even when HDK was in power.
“He had an opportunity to crack the whip, but instead, he opted ot remain silent and speak about it after one year. He remained silent even when the coalition government fell. He is like a chameleon, he keeps changing his colours. A person like him, who has held the post of the CM must act responsibly,” said Patil.
