Mandya: Another farmer in Mandya district consumed poison and committed suicide here at Amachahalli village in KR Pete taluk.
Shivaramegowda(55) is the deceased farmer. He was taken to nearby hospital three days before after he consumed poison in his field. He breathed his last at Hassan district government hospital on Monday, January 4.
He had borrowed Rs 70,000 loan from SBM bank and also had availed hand loans to the tune of Rs 3 lakhs.
It is learnt that he took the extreme step as he was unable to repay the loans.
