Mandya: Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy made an emotional speech recently, stating that the series of farmer suicides being reported from the Mandya district is taking a toll on his health. He claimed that he may die soon if the situation did not improve.
Addressing three rallies in Malavalli, Maddur and Mandya on Friday, October 26, HDK stated that his cardiac health deteriorated when he was touring Israel before the Assembly election. “But fortunately, God saved me. God saved me to serve the people. But the people are still not showing their faith in me,” he lamented.
“My government is implementing the farm loan waiver scheme. Still, in the Mandya district, the farmer suicides continue. Why are you pressuring me?” he questioned.
He also accused the BJP and the media of hatching a conspiracy against him. “Even though there is a shortage of coal, my government has no plans for load shedding. But the media has created a controversy and increased my tension,” he said.
He also alleged that BJP has no work to do. “They are the shameless people,” he said.
