Mandya: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has extended its probe to Mandya in the Chhota Rajan case.

The underworld don has been booked under various sections of the Passport Act and the Prevention of Corruption Act. Rajan obtained the passport impersonating himself as “Mohan Kumar”, a resident of Azad Nagar in Mandya in the 1990s. Using it, Rajan went to Australia in 2003. However, it is learnt that the Police Department does not have enough details as the case dates 17-years back and that there was no computerization of documents back then.

Hence, the police now have sought the help of the Regional Passport Office in getting the details.
Investigation is underway.
