Mandya: To win the confidence of the disgruntled Congress leaders in the district, district in-charge minister C S Puttaraju apologised to N Cheluvaraya Swamy, former minister and Congress leader, for calling him a “dead horse”.
His apology comes a few hours before AICC president Rahul Gandhi’s rally in the K R Nagar town of the Mysuru district, part of the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency.
“I called Cheluvaraya Swamy a dead horse in a flow when I was criticising him. It was unintentional. I will apologise for it,” he said.
He made his apology in the presence of former prime minister H D Devegowda and Congress Legislature Party leader, former CM Siddaramaiah.
Now, N Cheluvaraya Swamy is expected to attend RaGa’s rally in K R Nagar on Saturday, April 13 noon.
